About Hermon Welde '26

Hermon Welde Government Ethics Fellow

Hermon graduated from SA国际传媒 with a major in Public Health Sciences and a minor in Medical & Health Humanities. Growing up in the Bay Area as the daughter of Eritrean immigrants shaped her perspectives on the world and how she understands social justice, making her aware of how deeply rooted inequities are in our society. After completing the Health Care Ethics program last year, she developed a strong interest in ethics, specifically ethical decision-making, and it has shaped how she views healthcare in the United States. She is also deeply interested in politics, particularly the role that government plays in the lives of others.
