Join Kristin Kusanovich and tUrn student Amanda Nairn for this reflective session exploring eco-anxiety, eco-grief, and pathways toward eco-calm, creating space to process emotions and build resilience in the face of the climate crisis. A holistic, regular tUrn week offering to help attendees/ activists/empaths recenter, understand the journey we are on, and encounter nature and themselves in a reflective, caring, atmosphere.

Learn how this Black-led, urban reforestation nonprofit is planting the planet, & organizing cities, schools, and communities to plant trees at scale for climate, equity, and health. This is an in-person urban tree planting lecture and event focused on building a cooler, cleaner, and calmer future. Meet at the Bronco Statue on the campus of SA¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½, then proceed to tree-planting near Finn at El Camino/The Alameda at 2pm. Come to one or both. 90 minutes with refreshments & tools provided. Co-organized with SA¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½ Center for Sustainability and Facilities Operations.

Attend in-person at SA¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½'s Bronco Statue on Market Street for a wonderful outdoor lecture under the trees, and stay for the tree planting at Graham Residence. Snacks provided. Bring your friends!

What we eat either drives or prevents ecological degradation, environmental pollution, climate destabilization, species extinction, our own mental health, etc.. But disinformation around food abounds. Learn about the socialization and lobbying that has kept us from understanding eating as a lever for doing good, including, but not limited to drawing down global warming. Come away with powerful new ideas and mealtime inspirations. Moderated by tUrn alum Abbie Crowley.

Join this tUrn film screening for an evening highlighting Indigenous climate leadership and community-based solutions, with films that explore the cultural and environmental importance of seed saving and collective action. Stay after to reflect and connect over snacks! The Villas RLC group has prepared some lovely earth day gifts and will lead a discussion on environmental economics for all students to share ideas!
