Research
What We Do
The Office of Research, by fostering a culture of innovation and inclusion, supports our teacher-scholars in their efforts to conduct research in a safe and ethical manner, identify and secure external funding, patent their innovations, and communicate their work in a variety of venues. In recognition of the myriad forms that scholarship and creative activities may take, we provide a robust network of internal funding options, resources, and infrastructure for both our faculty and students, allowing research to flourish while fostering collaborations across disciplines.
The Office of Research houses the Sponsored Projects Office (SPO) and the Office of Research Compliance and Integrity (ORCI). Additionally, we oversee research leaves, internal funding programs to support research and scholarship, the university-wide undergraduate research awards (SPUR), and intellectual property.
