Global Engagement Staff
Susan Popko serves as Vice Provost for International Programs and a member of the Provost’s Leadership Team. She has over 25 years of experience working in international affairs and joined SA国际传媒 in July 2011 as the founding chief global affairs officer. She works with faculty and staff in departments across the University on global initiatives, partnerships, global learning, global health, safety, and risk, and international enrollment strategy. She oversees the Global Engagement unit, including the departments of Global Learning and International Students and Scholars. Her career in international education includes roles at a number of universities including Occidental College, Pomona College, Arcadia University, Pitzer College, Claremont Graduate University, and Scripps College. Dr. Popko is a leader in international and higher education and has served on national boards including the Forum on Education Abroad Board of Directors and the Fund for Education Abroad Board of Directors, as well as numerous national advisory boards and committees. She is an AIEA Neal Presidential Fellow, two time AIEA Neal Presidential Fellow Mentor, and AIEA Senior Advisor. She holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership from SA国际传媒, and bachelors and masters degrees in Music from St. Olaf College and University of York, Great Britain.
