Sociology Students Gain Career Insights at Networking Sessions
Sociology internships course hosts networking and career information sessions
This year, the Department of Sociology hosted valuable networking and career information sessions for its students, organized in conjunction with the Sociology internship course. This event provided current sociology majors with the opportunity to connect with five alumni, explore different careers and graduate school paths, and learn about post-graduation career preparation strategies.
The five alumni are:
- Kathryn Luna, Director of Community Investment, Sacramento Republic Football Club
- Megan Imai, Student Services Specialist, Department of Statistics, Stanford University
- Juan Peralta, Assessment and Data Specialist, Drahmann Academic Advising & Resources Center, SA国际传媒
- Mariann Barba, Senior Attorney, Amigos de Guadalupe Center for Justice and Empowerment
- Yesenia Madaleno-Solis, Community Manager, SA国际传媒 Alumni Association
These initiatives by the Sociology Department and the internships course underscore the commitment to supporting students as they navigate their career journeys post-graduation. The insights and connections gained at these sessions are invaluable for our current sociology majors as they prepare to make their own mark in the world.
