Faculty News: New Report Card Highlights Status & Trends for 30 Marine Species
A new , published by the (AoP), details the status and population trends for 30 of California’s marine species, ranging from algae and intertidal snails to fish and marine mammals. The report card will be an invaluable resource for students, the broader public, and California’s policymakers.
To make this report card a reality, marine scientists from across the state of California generously shared their expertise and their data with AoP scientists. Among the many contributors, ESS Professor Michelle Marvier led efforts to wrangle the diverse datasets into a consistent collection of data visualizations and trend analyses.
